About Katherine Verdickt

Katherine Verdickt is a visual artist living and working in Amherst, MA. When Katherine renovated her Dutch Colonial home in 2020, Delft tiles were the obvious choice. "I went to art school," she thought. "Maybe I can make my own tiles." She posted her finished work on the internet, and within weeks she was in high demand for custom tile commissions.

Katherine’s skill, love of art history, and enthusiasm for authenticity make her the leading practitioner of this trade in the United States. She has worked with clients across the nation and internationally. KV Tiles has had the privilege of working with designers such as Studio McGee, Yond Interiors, Moore House Design, Mark Cunningham, Augusta Hoffman, Carley Page Summers, Jeremiah Brent, and more.

Primarily a classically trained painter, Katherine has studied Dutch and Netherlandish Art for over a decade. Katherine attended Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University, earning her B.F.A. in 2009. She received her M.F.A. from School of Visual Arts in 2014, and an M.A. from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2022. Next, she plans to study glaze and clay body chemistry at Harvard University.
